One Person Airlifted After Car Collision on Highway 138 in Llano

Llano, Calif. – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a traffic collision that happened early Thursday morning on a highway in Llano, the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities received reports of the collision around 4:42 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 138, just east of 165th Street East.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and requested a helicopter to respond and airlift a seriously injured person to the hospital. The helicopter landed near the collision scene and airlifted the patient to Valley Hospital in unknown condition.

The report said a separate single- with property damage only also happened in the area around the same time.
