Hawthorne, CA. – One person died in a pedestrian accident that happened early Wednesday morning on 105 Freeway in Hawthorne, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 2:44 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway near the Crenshaw Boulevard off-ramp.
Responding emergency personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department found the victim lying in the No. 2 lane.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
