Sacramento County, CA. – One person was hospitalized after a head-on collision that took place Monday morning in Soughhouse, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A white minivan and a red SUV collided head-on for an unknown reason. The minivan went down the embankment on the north side, possibly trapping an occupant inside.
Sacramento firefighters responded to the scene.
A male occupant of one of the vehicles was transported to Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center with unknown injuries.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
