The California Highway Patrol said the pileup occurred around 11:23 p.m. on the northbound 110 Freeway at the Avenue 43 off-ramp.
About five vehicles, including a silver Toyota Sequoia, were involved in the crash.
One person was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
All northbound lanes of the freeway were blocked during the investigation.
