Gardena, CA. – One person was hospitalized after a three-vehicle collision that happened Thursday evening in Gardena, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident took place around 6:04 p.m. on westbound State Route 91, just east of Interstate 110.
Authorities said a red Chevrolet Camaro and a dark-colored Scion were racing when they caused a three-car accident.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and blocked all westbound lanes of the highway.
Paramedics transported an Asian adult female to the hospital with minor injuries.
All lanes were reopened around 7:11 p.m.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
