A compact car collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances. One person got trapped inside the car.
Responding firefighters found the trapped party with major facial trauma but awake and conscious. The victim was extricated and transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
Several traffic lanes in the area were closed following the collision.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the factors that may have led to the accident.
