Fresno, CA. – A driver was hospitalized after a DUI-suspected crash that happened Sunday evening at an intersection in Fresno.
According to authorities, the incident took place around 6:30 p.m. at Hughes and Griffith Avenues.
A driver was reportedly traveling northbound on Hughes Avenue approaching Griffith Avenue at a high rate of speed when another car pulled out onto Hughes from Griffith, possibly after running a stop sign.
The vehicles collided at the intersection.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported one of the drivers, a man, to the hospital with significant injuries suffered in the collision.
The condition of the other driver was unknown.
Police said both drivers were possibly intoxicated at the time of the incident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
