Oakland, CA. – One person was injured in a traffic collision that happened Wednesday evening in Oakland, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 7:49 p.m. on northbound Interstate 880 near Broadway.
At least two vehicles, including a Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck pulling a trailer and a Volkswagen SUV, were involved in the accident. Airbags were deployed in one of the cars.
Oakland firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
One person complained of pain to the right arm. The patient was offered medical aid by the paramedics.
The Volkswagen acquired a broken axel and the pickup truck had a detached front right wheel. Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
