Bakersfield, CA. – One person was hospitalized after a DUI collision that took place Thursday afternoon in Bakersfield, the California Highway Patrol said.

Police officers and paramedics responded to the scene and found two separate collisions that had happened in the area.
One crash involved two vehicles and resulted in minor injuries to one person. The patient was transported to Kern Medical Center by Antelope Medic 131 for treatment.
Authorities said impairment was a factor in the crash but did not mention if anyone was arrested.
The second collision was a hit-and-run that resulted in property damage only.
Police officers are investigating the crashes.
