Azusa, CA. – One person died in a single-car accident that happened Tuesday night in Azusa, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. on State Route 39 at mile marker 19.61.
CHP reported that, for an unknown reason, a car went off the roadway into the bush.
Azusa police officers responded to the scene but were unable to locate the vehicle because of too much bush. The officers requested a helicopter to respond and help find the vehicle.
The car was located and accessed by responding firefighters.
The occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by firefighters.
Authorities did not immediately determine the cause of the collision.
