Placer County, CA. – One person sustained major injuries in a traffic accident that happened Sunday night in Elverta, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident. One of the cars went down an embankment.
The Placer County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.
