Two vehicles collided Saturday evening, blocking freeway lanes near E Street.
Chula Vista, CA. – One person was seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened Saturday evening on a freeway in Chula Vista, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP officers said the crash took place around 8:28 p.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway near E Street.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident, blocking traffic lanes.
Firefighters responded to the scene to extricate one person who was trapped inside one of the cars.
Authorities said one person was hospitalized with serious injuries.
No other details were available but an investigation is ongoing.
