1 Injured in Ontario Big Rig Crash on 10 Freeway at Mountain Avenue On-Ramp
Ontario, California (February 28, 2022) – A semi-truck driver was hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Sunday night in Ontario, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred at about 9:16 p.m. on eastbound 10 Freeway at the Mountain Avenue on-ramp.
A big rig collided with a white Toyota Camry for unknown reasons, causing its trailer to get detached. The Toyota reportedly caught fire after the impact.
The driver of the semi-truck was transported to San Antonio Regional Hospital with unspecified injuries.
A SigAlert was issued, closing several traffic lanes as the trailer was being uprighted.
CHP is investigating the collision.
