One Person Killed in Orinda Crash on Highway 24 near St. Stephens Drive

Orinda, California (December 11, 2021) –Authorities are investigating a Saturday morning traffic accident that killed one person in Orinda.
The deadly two-vehicle accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. on CA-24 going eastbound west of St. Stephens Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Avalon crashed into the back of an unoccupied Dodge Challenger parked on the right shoulder.

Sadly, the driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not clear if intoxication played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
