Orland, CA: At Least 1 Killed in Big Rig Crash on CR7 and Hwy 99W

Orland, California (March 14, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a deadly big rig accident that happened Monday morning at an intersection near Orland, Glenn County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 6:07 a.m. at County Road 7 and Highway 99W.

A Nissan Rogue collided with a tractor with double dump trailers for unknown reasons. The Nissan also struck a PG&E pole in the crash. The vehicles were blocking the roadway after the collision.

Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports about the accident.

The crash left at least one person dead, as per the report.

No details were given about the condition of the other parties involved.

PG&E officials were requested to respond and check the condition of the pole that was hit.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.

CHP officers are investigating the collision.
