Oscar Cuevas and Herminia Perez Identified as Victims Killed in Head-On Collision on State Route 43 near Pond Road in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, CA. – Authorities have released the identities of the victims killed in a head-on collision last month in Bakersfield.
The accident happened around 3:34 a.m. on May 12, on northbound Highway 43, north of Pond Road.
According to CHP, Cuevas was driving a Honda northbound on Highway 43 and the driver of a Dodge was traveling southbound when the Honda veered to the left, directly into the path of the Dodge, and hit head-on.
Cuevas and one of the passengers in the Dodge, Perez, were killed in the mishap.
An investigation is ongoing.
