Man Killed in Palmdale Crash on 25th Street East and Avenue R
Palmdale, California (April 5, 2022) – A man was killed in a car collision that took place in Palmdale on Friday morning, according to the Palmdale Sheriff's Station.
The wreck happened on 25th Street East and Avenue R just before 5 a.m. April 1.
According to the report, a man was driving a black 2017 Ford Focus westbound on Avenue R when he tried to make a right turn onto 25th Street on a red light.
The driver then made a U-turn and was struck by a black 2016 Toyota Camry traveling northbound.

The driver of the Ford, whose name was not immediately released, died at the site of the collision.
The operator of the Camry and a juvenile in the vehicle were taken to a hospital for treatment. There was no update on the condition of the hospitalized parties.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the incident.
A section of 25th Street East was closed as crews worked at the scene.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
