1 Hospitalized after Pasadena Car Crash on 210 Freeway at Michillinda Avenue

Pasadena, California (April 6, 2022) – One person was hospitalized with severe injuries after a rollover crash involving a big rig that happened Wednesday morning in Pasadena, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at around 5:35 a.m. on westbound 210 Freeway at Michillinda Avenue.
As per the CHP report, the accident involved a Los Angeles County Sanitation District big rig and a dark-colored sedan. The vehicles collided under unclear circumstances. The impact sent the sedan to the right-hand shoulder, where it overturned onto its roof.

A Good Samaritan helped the male driver of the overturned sedan get out of the vehicle before emergency crews arrived. The driver advised that he had a broken leg.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after the accident and transported the driver to Huntington Memorial Hospital with major injuries.
As per the report, the Spanish-speaking driver of the big rig did not immediately stop at the scene, but authorities were able to locate him. The driver told authorities that the sedan crashed into his semi.
A SigAlert was issued closing the Rosemead Boulevard on-ramp to westbound 210 Freeway for about an hour following the accident.
Investigators are collecting more information to establish the cause of the collision.
