1 Injured in Highway 101 Accident at Wellsona Road in Paso Robles
Paso Robles, California (September 30, 2021) – One person was injured Wednesday morning in a broadside collision near Paso Robles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, on Highway 101 at Wellsona Road.
The CHP said a Hyundai Kona stopped at Wellsona Road to wait to make a left turn on Highway 101 northbound.
The Hyundai failed to yield the right of way to a southbound Nissan Frontier that was going at 65 miles per hour.
The Hyundai reportedly entered the intersection and t-boned the Nissan. Due to the impact, the Nissan overturned and landed back on its wheels in the center median area.

The Nissan driver complained of pain in his left hand but was not hospitalized. The driver of the Hyundai did not suffer any injuries.
Authorities temporally closed one lane of Highway 101 in both directions for half an hour following the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
