18-year-old Gael Carrasco was killed in a multi-vehicle collision at North La Cholla Boulevard and North McCarty Road in Northwest Tucson Wednesday night

Tucson, Ariz. – 18-year-old Gael Carrasco was killed in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Northwest Tucson Wednesday night.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department said the deadly crash was reported at around 7:30 p.m. on January 10 at North La Cholla Boulevard and North McCarty Road, north of West Magee Road.
Reportedly, the first car was headed north on La Cholla, possibly without its headlights turned on when it collided with the second car that turned right onto McCarty Road.
The third vehicle was disabled when it crashed into debris on the road, the release said.
Carrasco, who was a passenger in the first car was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The driver of the first vehicle was transported to a hospital with severe injuries.
The two adults in the second car were also hospitalized with minor injuries. The sole occupant of the third car was not injured.
More details regarding the collision were not provided.
An investigation is underway.
