1 Injured in 2-Car Accident on 5 Freeway near Slate Creek Road in Shasta County
Shasta County, California (October 24, 2021) – One person was injured in a traffic collision that occurred near Lakehead in Shasta County on Saturday night, October 23.
The 11:51 p.m. crash happened on the 5 Freeway near Slate Creek Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The officers along with the firefighters who responded to the incident located two vehicles that were involved in the crash. The events leading up to the accident were yet to be established.
A passenger in one of the cars suffered minor injuries including complaints of pain to the hip and leg.
More information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
