Person Killed in Gilroy Pedestrian Crash on Leavesley Road
Gilroy, California (September 28, 2021) – The Gilroy Police Department is conducting an investigation into an accident that led to the death of a pedestrian in the 1100 block of Leavesley Road Sunday night.
According to investigators, a pedestrian was walking westbound on Leavesley Road when they were hit by a southbound vehicle just east of the Gilroy Premium Outlets.
The incident happened at around 8:50 p.m. September 26.
Pedestrian Dies in Gilroy Crash on Leavesley Road
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, died at the scene.
Police said the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing at the time of the accident.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the incident.
