Lincoln Heights, CA. – A 69-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night near the Cesar Chavez Bridge in Lincoln Heights.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident happened around 11:11 p.m. near Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Mission Road.
Investigators said a car was traveling west on Cesar Chavez when it hit a man who was standing in the roadway.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
The 24-year-old man driving the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
