San Jose, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Friday morning on State Route 87 in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident took place around 2:55 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway at the Taylor Street off-ramp.
The pedestrian was hit by a car under unclear circumstances.
Responding emergency personnel pronounced one person dead at the scene.
All lanes of the off-ramp were blocked during the investigation.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
