Sacramento, CA. – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night on a freeway onramp in Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 10:35 p.m. on the westbound Madison Avenue on-ramp to the westbound 80 Freeway.
The pedestrian was hit by a black sedan under unclear circumstances.
The driver took the pedestrian into the passenger side of the vehicle after the accident.
Mercy San Juan Metro Fire 624 responded to the scene to help the victim. The patient was taken to the hospital with the complaint of pain to the left leg and road rash on the left of the body.
Authorities are investigating to determine what caused the crash.
