Phoenix, AZ – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Friday morning near an intersection in Laveen, the Phoenix Police Department reported.
The accident was reported around 3:45 a.m. near 35th Avenue and Baseline Road.
A pedestrian was hit by a blue car under unclear circumstances.
The victim died at the scene.
The accident left the westbound lanes of Baseline Road closed between 35th and 39th avenues until just before 7 a.m.
Police officers are investigating the accident.
