Police said a white Toyota Prius was traveling westbound on SR 76 when it collided with a pedestrian trying to cross the street
Oceanside, Calif. – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle in Oceanside on Sunday evening, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
The crash happened on State Route 76 near Canyon Drive at about 6:30 p.m. January 7.
Police said a white Toyota Prius was traveling westbound on SR 76 when it collided with a pedestrian trying to cross the street.
The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
