A Chevrolet Tahoe struck the pedestrian near Blossom Way

Hayward, Calif. – A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Hayward, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident was reported around 7:36 p.m. in the 21272 block of State Route 185, also known as, Mission Boulevard, near Blossom Way.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to find the pedestrian and a Chevrolet Tahoe involved in the collision.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
