Vista, Calif. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in Vista early Sunday morning, according to the authorities.
The crash happened on the North County Transit District line near Vista Village Drive shortly before 5 a.m.
A pedestrian was hit by a Sprinter train under unclear circumstances.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
No further details were released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
