Sacramento, CA. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Thursday night on Interstate 80 in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol reported.
CHP said the collision was reported around 9:23 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway just east of the Raley Boulevard on-ramp.
A pedestrian was struck by a Subaru Forester under unclear circumstances.
The victim died in the crash.
The Subaru was towed away with major front-end damage.
CHP officers are investigating the crash.
