CHP said a combination truck tractor pulling a Hyundai west on SR 58 struck a pedestrian in the roadway

Mojave, Calif. – A pedestrian was killed in a crash near Mojave early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on State Route 58 near Tehachapi Boulevard at about 1:13 a.m. December 24.
The CHP said a combination truck tractor pulling a Hyundai west on SR 58 struck a pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian, a 61-year-old California City man, had been involved in an earlier collision.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck tractor, a 21-year-old man, was not injured.
The crash is under investigation.
