Victorville, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Victorville on Tuesday night, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The accident took place on Reno Loop Road and Sorrel Way at about 8:57 p.m. May 27.
According to the report, a female pedestrian was hit by a gold 2001 Chevrolet Suburban in the area under unclear circumstances.
The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle, George Batiste Thenarse, 50, of Barstow, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The crash led to the closure of Reno Loop Road in both directions as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
