Puyallup, Wash. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Puyallup on Tuesday morning, according to the authorities.
The collision took place near Walgreens on the South Meridian at about 9:57 a.m.
Police said a pedestrian was walking in the sidewalk when a car hit them.
The car driver then lost control and slammed into the side of a Walgreens.
The pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The driver was suspected of DUI in the incident.
Both sides of the South Meridian were shut down as a result of the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
