, Calif. – A 68-year-old male was seriously injured in a crash on Avenue in Santa Barbara Tuesday evening.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the wreck at around 6 p.m. on Hollister Avenue at Auhay Drive.

Reports stated that the 68-year-old man was in the crosswalk when he was struck by a Buick sedan.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported by AMR to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.

The crash remains under investigation.
