Apple Valley, CA. – Authorities are investigating a serious injury pedestrian accident in Apple Valley Friday afternoon.
The wreck happened at about 2:07 pm on June 14 in the 10000 block of Kiowa Road.
A woman was driving a blue 2016 Kia Forte when for unknown reasons it struck a pedestrian crossing the street.
The pedestrian was rushed by ambulance to the helipad at Victor Valley Global Medical Center and subsequently airlifted via a Mercy Air helicopter.
The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
An investigation is ongoing.
