Police said a driver swerved into the opposite lane and collided with a pedestrian near the intersection, before crashing into a traffic signal
Chico, CA.– A pedestrian was hospitalized with major injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Chico on Monday afternoon, the Chico Police Department said.
The crash took place at E. 3rd and Mangrove avenues at around 2:46 p.m. August 5.
Police said a driver swerved into the opposite lane and collided with a pedestrian near the intersection, before crashing into a traffic signal.
The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene after the accident and cooperated with investigators.
The incident is under investigation.
