Portland, Ore. – A 67-year-old man has been identified as pedestrian struck and killed Sunday evening at an intersection in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Police Department said the wreck happened at around 6:50 p.m. at Fourth Plain Boulevard and 137th Street.
An eastbound pickup truck did not see the victim and hit him. The car stopped causing traffic backup in the area.
A dark-colored sedan then swerved passed the stopped vehicles, and ran over the victim, who was lying in the roadway, before fleeing the scene.
The victim, whose name is yet to be released died at the scene.

Portland, Ore. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver Sunday evening, Vancouver Police reported
The crash happened at about 7:50 p.m. in the 136th block of Fourth Plain Boulevard.
Reportedly, emergency personnel from Vancouver Fire and AMR responded to the scene and found bystanders performing CPR on the pedestrian.
Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. The name of the victim was withheld pending next of kin notification.
It was not immediately clear if the involved driver remained at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
