Phoenix, AZ – The Phoenix Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in west Phoenix.
The deadly accident took place near 35th and Whitton avenues at about 5:30 a.m.
A truck reportedly hit a pedestrian who was walking across the road.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene after the accident.
The intersection was expected to be shut down as authorities investigated the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
