Portland, Ore. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Portland on Saturday evening, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway near SW 56th Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. January 27.
The Portland Police Department said a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area under unclear circumstances.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The investigation is ongoing.
