Portland, Ore. – 67-year-old George Nevitt has been identified as pedestrian struck and killed by a car in Vancouver Sunday evening.

Authorities said the incident happened at around 7:50 p.m. on Fourth Plain Boulevard.

Portland, Ore. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver Sunday evening, Vancouver Police reported

The crash happened at about 7:50 p.m. in the 136th block of Fourth Plain Boulevard.

Reportedly, emergency personnel from Vancouver Fire and AMR responded to the scene and found bystanders performing CPR on the pedestrian. 

Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. The name of the victim was withheld pending next of kin notification.

It was not immediately clear if the involved driver remained at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
