Police said a white Nissan Altima hit a pedestrian under unclear circumstances.

Santa Ana, CA. – A pedestrian was killed in a traffic collision early Thursday morning in Santa Ana, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 3:41 a.m. on 5 Freeway, in front of Bowers Museum, at 2002 N Main Street.
Police said a white Nissan Altima hit a pedestrian under unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian died in the collision.
A SigAlert was issued closing all lanes following the crash.
The SigAlert was canceled and the roadway cleared at 5:49 a.m.
A tow truck was requested to remove the Altima from the scene.
No more details concerning the accident were released.
An investigation is underway.
