An Amtrak train reportedly hit a pedestrian on the tracks on Gonzales Road and Oxnard Boulevard

Oxnard, Calif. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in Oxnard on Friday afternoon, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
The incident took place near Gonzales Road and Oxnard Boulevard just before 1 p.m. January 19.
An Amtrak train reportedly hit a pedestrian on the tracks.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The tracks were shut down between Ventura and Oxnard as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
