Covina, Calif. – One person was killed in a train vs pedestrian collision in Covina on Monday afternoon, according to the Metrolink officials.
The crash happened at Sunflower Avenue at around 3:21 p.m.
Authorities said a woman was walking on the tracks when she was hit by the southbound Metrolink line train 362.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The tracks were expected to be shut down as authorities investigated the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
