The Sacramento Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.
Sacramento, Calif. – A pedestrian was killed Wednesday evening after being hit by a vehicle on Garden Highway in Sacramento, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened just after 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of Garden Highway near Gateway Oaks Drive.
The Sacramento Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead. The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities say the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is not suspected of DUI.
The accident remains remains under investigation.
