Jurupa Valley, CA – One person was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Jurupa Valley on Sunday morning, according to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station.
The accident happened at about 11:08 a.m. on April 28, 2024, collision on Jurupa Road, east of Troth Street.
Deputies at Jurupa Valley Sheriff's, along with paramedics from Cal Fire, responded to the scene and found a seriously injured pedestrian lying in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle.
Authorities say the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name was withheld pending notification to the next of kin.
It was not immediately clear if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
Jurupa Road between Troth Street and Marlatt Street was temporarily closed as investigators processed the scene and collected evidence.
