At Least 1 Airlifted after Petaluma Crash on State Highway 37
Sonoma County, California (November 6, 2021) – At least one person was airlifted to a hospital following a Friday afternoon traffic collision involving two big rigs in Petaluma, according to a report released by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 1:42 p.m. Friday, November 5, on Highway 37 near a bridge that transverses Sonoma Creek.
As per the CHP report, two big rigs collided for unknown reasons in the eastbound lane of the highway.
Two other vehicles, including an SUV, were also involved in the collision.

At least one patient was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek in unknown condition.
Tow trucks were dispatched to the scene to remove the damaged big rigs.
Highway 37 was closed in both directions for several hours following the wreck.
