Man Killed in Petaluma Motorcycle Accident at Lakeville Highway and Stage Gulch Road

Petaluma, California (August 27, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a big rig at an intersection outside Petaluma Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash happened at around 11:05 a.m. at the intersection of Lakeville Highway and Stage Gulch Road.
The CHP said a man was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Stage Gulch Road when he failed to stop for the posted stop sign at the intersection and collided with the side of a big rig tanker truck.
Deadly Motorcycle Crash in Petaluma
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the man lying in the roadway. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
Lakeville Highway was closed in both directions between Browns Lane and Highway 37 as the investigation and cleanup took place.
