Phelan Accident on Phelan Road Injures 2 People
Phelan, California (November 29, 2021) – Two people were injured in a collision involving a school bus in the community of Phelan Monday morning, November 29, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened at about 6:00 a.m. along Phelan Road between Trinidad and Zing Roads.
The accident happened when a truck-tractor combination operated by a 35-year-old West Covina party westbound on Phelan Road swerved into the opposite traffic lane, directly in the path of the Snowline Joint Unified School District bus that was driven by a 62-year-old Victorville person eastbound on the roadway.
In the process, the right front of the truck-tractor crashed with the right front of the school bus.
Due to the impact, the semi continued westbound and collided with a Toyota Rav4 that a 28-year-old Victorville party was driving.
Phelan Road Multi-Vehicle Crash
Although the drivers of both vehicles complained of pain, no one was hospitalized after the crash.
There were no children on board the school bus at the time of the incident, according to officials.
Officials requested tow trucks to remove the vehicles away from the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
