1 Dies in Tuesday Afternoon Tulare County Crash on Avenue 384 near Road 56

Tulare County, California (September 6, 2022) – One person died when a pickup truck collided with a fully loaded semi-truck Tuesday afternoon near Dinuba in Tulare County, as per a local news source.
The wreck occurred at around 12:42 p.m. on Avenue 384 near Road 56.
CHP officers said a 28-year-old driver of a Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound on Avenue 384. Witnesses told the officers that the driver was weaving in and out of traffic lanes and eventually entered the eastbound lane while a loaded big rig was approaching.
The driver of the pickup sideswiped the rig, causing the pickup to overturn onto its roof.
The semi was forced to turn abruptly, causing some of its load of empty pallets to spill over into the roadway.
The pickup truck's driver died at the crash scene.
The semi driver was not hurt.
Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident.
