Pilot Injured After Small Plane Crashes in Bermuda Dunes

County, California (December 11, 2021) – A pilot was injured when a small plane crashed Saturday afternoon in Bermuda Dunes, authorities said.

The crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. in the 78000 block of Discovery Bay.

Witnesses said the plane, an RV 3, was taking off from the Bermuda Airport when it crash land on Discovery Bay.

The pilot, only identified as an adult male victim, was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition. He was the sole occupant of the plane.

Nobody on the ground was hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
